This instrument is determined for indication of underpressure loss in the suckers of the lifting mechanism. By means of raising the alarm it warns the operator about the possible danger of underpressure loss and thus the load release. The instrument is designed for the underpressure range 0 to -100 kPa. The maximum permitted overpressure is +200 kPa. A semiconductor pressure sensor is used for measuring the underpressure, the function of the whole instrument, including
the signal processing, is controlled by means of a microcomputer. Feeding is secured by two batteries with 1.5V voltage, alkaline ones are recommended because of a higher capacity. It is not possible to use NiCd or NiMH accumulators because of their low voltage. The projected battery life is ca 6 months, depending on the amount of raised alarms. The instrument is mounted into a plastic box from ABS. It is connected to the measuring place by means of a plastic hose.
