Instructions for use
The instrument is best mounted by means of 4 bolts to the monitored device. The assembling holes are accessible after unscrewing the lid which will retain connected with the base by a multi-cable conductor. The working position is arbitrary, because of the batteries change (and their possible run out), it is recommended to mount it upright with the siren up and the batteries down. If there is a danger of a mechanical damage, it is recommended to create a frame or a cover around the box. It is necessary to prevent direct falls or other excessive impacts at mounting or operating the instrument. Pressure connection is made by means of a polyurethane hose with a diameter 6/4 mm, it is recommended to use a socket coupling. Two batteries are inserted into the holder after mounting – MIND the correct polarity, the instrument is not protected against batteries reverse polarity!!! The correct batteries polarity is indicated on the bottom of their holder. After the batteries are inserted, the siren beeps and the LEDs flash, thereby the basic check of the instrument correct function is made. After covering up, the instrument is ready to be used. It does not need any maintenance during the operation, it is only necessary to check the batteries capacity. Low batteries voltage is signalled by red LED flashing on the front side. At this state the gadget is still working, but it is necessary to change the batteries as soon as possible. When the central red LED is flashing permanently, the gadget is not working and it is not possible to use it. If the instrument stays in this state for a longer time, the batteries get discharged completely and the red LED goes out because of a lack of energy. Thus it is necessary that the operator watches that the green LED flashes during the operation. Do not use low quality batteries which are prone to rust or run out, which could lead to damage the instrument. Eventual repairs are done by the producer.
The gadget does not have any switch and thus it is switched on all the time after inserting batteries. In the rest state the function is not outwardly shown. After creating underpressure higher than 5 kPa, the gadget is activated which is indicated by flashing of a green LED on the front side. This flashing indicates the correct function of the instrument. After the underpressure increase is stopped and is stabilized, its maximum value is stored. Then the instrument turns into the evaluation regime and waits for reaching the 80% level of the stored maximum. If this value is reached at a slow underpressure decrease, the alarm is activated – the siren is switched on and the red LEDs flash on the sides and the front of the instrument. The alarm is set for ca 5 seconds. When this time passes, the new maximum is stored and the gadget waits for a new loss under 80% from the new maximum. If it is reached, the alarm is activated again, but this time permanently. The alarm is switched off by releasing the underpressure (by a drop under 5 kPa) – that means by releasing the load. If the system is in the evaluation regime and there is a fast underpressure drop, the alarm is not activated. Thus it is important that the operator checks that the green LED flashes after sucking. Otherwise the batteries can be completely flat or the whole gadget can be broken down. The correct function of the pressure sensor is checked when the siren beeps and all the LEDs flash after inserting batteries. The correct function of the pressure sensor is checked continuously. If there is a sudden breakdown or if there is a non-permissible overpressure, all red LEDs will flash permanently.
